Firetruck Day @ School

Rylie had a big day today. Wilkesboro Fire Dept. brought a firetruck to his school for the kids to see and get in. They brought the kids their own fireman's hat and badge stickers.

Rylie & Ms. Kim

Here's Rylie w/ Ms. Kim.
If you can't tell, he's a handful. Someone always has to have ahold of him or they are chasing him.

Holding On

Rylie found this pole on the firetruck that he grabbed and refused to let go.

In The Firetruck

Rylie got to get into a real firetruck today. Although, it was a little scary w/ all of the excitement. Rylie only stayed long enough for Mommy to snap a quick photo.

Rylie & Snakie

Rylie Put Snakie's Collar On All By Himself!!!

Rylie really surprised Mommy tonight. He loves his "sissies" so much. We brought the girls in, one at a time, to give them a tubby. After Snakie's tubby, we had to put her collar back on.
Rylie grabbed the collar and wanted to do it. I didn't think he could; but, since he loves his sissies so much I decided to grab the camera and take pictures of him trying.
Well, Rylie sure surprised Mommy and Snakie! He put Snakie's collar on all by himself!! He didn't give in when it was tough at first, he knew that he needed to lift her head and everything! Below are the PICS I took for you all to see for yourself.

Snakie wouldn't pick her head up off the couch and cooperate; so, Rylie decided to raise her head for her.

He got it on!!!
Rylie's proud of himself!

Time to pet Snakie up. Now that's a sissy that loves her brother!!!

Rylie Giving Snakie A Treat

Time to make up for the tubby and collar.
Rylie got a "bite bite" for Snakie and took it to her. Isn't that sweet?! Of course, Rylie would give his sissies "bite bites" until the bag was empty if Mommy wasn't watching.

Reading Spongebob

Rylie loves to sit in the Bay Window to read.

I'm reading Spongebob Mommy!!!

Mommy want to read???

Reading Shrek

Rylie has really taken an interest in reading lately! He loves to sit and look through his books ... and, he's even letting Mommy read to him!

Rylie Playing w/ The Lincoln Log Fort

Today {Sunday, September 28, 2008}, Rylie built a big fort w/ Mommy and Daddy using his old Lincoln Log set Mommy had gotten him AND the new set he got for his birthday from Auntie Tara, Uncle Tim, and cousins Trey and Taylor.
Mommy and Daddy want to get Rylie the Lincoln Logs Rocky Mountain Ranch Set for Christmas. It is really neat and has animals w/ it too. We are also looking for any old sets or partial sets so that we can have enough to build a small town! This is a great toy set that we all love to play w/ together.

Today is Mommy and Daddy's 6th Wedding Anniversary. We couldn't think of any better way to spend our Anniversary than playing w/ Rylie!!

Then, Rylie knocked the fort down; but, he got the tin and put them all back in like he's supposed to do before moving on to play w/ his cars.

There's a little man and horse w/ the new set. As soon as Rylie gets them out he puts the little man on the horse and makes horse sounds as he prances him around ... soooo cute!!! His pretend play has greatly improved!! We are so proud of our little Rylie's progress. He's learning and growing by leaps and bounds!!!

Rylie Building

Rylie catches on quickly. He saw Daddy build the yellow piece to the roof and didn't forget how it was done. We all sit down together for play times w/ Rylie. We do Lincoln Logs night, Play Doh night, Lite Brite night, etc. Sometimes we do 2 things in one night. Rylie has really come around w/ wanting us to play w/ him instead of wanting to play by himself. We just love this!! He's even letting Mommy read to him too!!!
